I’m reading through Exodus with a couple of good friends in preparation for Easter. In Exodus 18 Moses’ Father-in-law counsels him to get some help, to not continue to do all the work himself so that he can, “devote himself to prayer and the ministry of the word.” In other words – stay focused on his main work.
This is so key to our lives: If even MOSES needed help with daily distractions – in order to stay focused on his main work, surely we need help from distraction too. Personally I need to remember the love and provisions God has in store for us. He is not limited by our limitations, He will send help when we need it.
