Defied the Laws of Physics

When our daughter was about 4, she was happily chatting to me and my husband. As we sat on the couch, she climbed up onto the arm rest and stood up balancing. Before we could tell her “no”, we both saw her fall backwards directly toward the rough stone fireplace hearth behind her. We watched in fear and then amazement as her trajectory completely switched from backwards to sideways onto the carpet. What we saw defied the laws of physics and we both believe her guardian angel saved her!
