It was very odd that I’d have an orange #2 pencil in my purse, but I did this day because I had planned to work on my sister’s floorplans on the flight. As the plane took off, I slid my big open topped tote barely under the seat in front of me and I started to read my book. We weren’t in the air too long and the gentleman sitting next to me asked if he could borrow my pencil! He was so relieved when I gave it to him, explaining that he lost his mechanical pencil at security, there weren’t any in the airport shops, and he needed a pencil to do his work. (He had graph paper out on the little fold down table, so I understood the need. Planning is always easier in pencil!
I was so happy to lend him! I was also completely amazed at how God had what this man needed, right when he needed it. It was fun to be part of this pencil story!
I keep the pencil on my desk just to remind me how God Provides all we need, even something as small as a pencil.
