I have an old friend “Sue” who lives in California. We haven’t talked in years but keep up with a relationship online. Due to the 3-hour time difference we can ‘pick up where we left off’ even if months fly by with no communication.
One night I awoke at 3:00am having a powerful dream about Sue. In the dream she was leading a group of some sort and in the group was a woman named Heather. Heather was running out of the group carrying a child. In the dream, Sue had deep concern for Heather, and was weeping. Then, in the dream, I got up and walked to Sue. I asked to intercede with her for Heather and we started praying to the Lord. Then I woke up and was still praying. I felt compelled to text Sue, as it would have been just midnight Pacific Time and I was sure she would be awake. She texted back at 12:22am.
She didn’t know Heather by face but had communicated often online with her. Heather had just lost her 15-year-old daughter to a horrific car accident. Sue had been waking up praying for Heather several times a week! We were truly taken back.
Together Sue and I decided to intercede for Heather. She is in great agony. Amazingly God will wake up intercessors several times a week in the middle of the night to pray for His children. It’s incredible, praying across the county fora woman who lives in the Midwest, whom we don’t even know. But God Knows her, and we trust in HIS care for her.
