I went on a trip to Israel but didn’t pack my nebulizer for asthma issues because I so rarely need it. Shortly after landing, my asthma flared and I began needing my inhaler as often as I could safely take it. Within a couple of days, I knew that if I didn’t get better, I would have to go to the emergency room for treatment. There were two men in our group who had asthma. One of them had told me that he didn’t have a nebulizer and the other had been away from our group so I hadn’t been able to ask him. I texted my husband and a friend at home to ask them to pray for me because I desperately needed the nebulizer for treatments.
An hour after sending the texts, I went to the pharmacy near our hotel. I had already gone there a few times over the past couple of days buying medicine over the counter to try to treat my symptoms. I went again and soon after arriving and speaking to the pharmacist, the other man with asthma came into the pharmacy. He told me he didn’t have a nebulizer but I should just purchase one if I needed it. I said that it wouldn’t help because I didn’t have a prescription for the medicine for it. I went back to the hotel where others were gathering to leave for dinner.
Within five minutes of arriving back at the hotel, the man from our group that also suffered from asthma came into the lobby bringing a nebulizer that he had purchased along with an entire vial with the equivalent of 40 doses of medication for the nebulizer. The pharmacist had given him the medicine at no charge to give to me. I was so overjoyed and relieved that I started weeping. God provided exactly what I needed and the answer to prayer came within the hour that I had requested it.
God is a good Father and He works through people to answer our prayers. -
