We pray as our hearts are raw...

"Holy LORD, we've nowhere else to turn. You teach us to turn to you in prayer, and peace will follow. Oh, how we need your presence and peace that we can't understand today.

We ask you to intercept the indescribable pain that gnaws at our hearts every moment, the confusion that swirls, the thousands of 'what ifs', the incessant lie that brings doubt and blame; for all of this Lord, we come to you.

We plead your mercy on our souls as we sink into the valley of death. We are not sufficient on our own- we need you to hold our floundering minds and achieve souls. We need your water of life to keep us afloat. ...

Lord, we know peace requires prayer. So we pray, '...but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.' Phil. 4:6-7

LORD, at this moment....the only thing we can do is pray to you. This can't be fixed, help us to survive this tragedy.
