Repentance is a Chisel

Our 1 Minute Takeaway: 082719

Repentance is a Chisel

My notes:

‘If a man cleanses himself from the later, (ignoble purposes), he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master’ 2 Tim. 2:21

– I launch my bark on unknown waters of this day, but thy Presence stabilizes me (Valley of Vision)

– ‘Love is the measure of life, only so far as we love do we live.’ (J. Burrows)

– There is a constant hammering and sawing going on in the inside as the Holy Spirit works to meet a deadline and makes me an instrument for His purposes. (Church Devo.)

– Be aware of any belief that makes us self-indulgent (O. Chambers)

– Don’t let your mind slip into neutral, confused and directionless. (Jesus Calling)

The Takeaway: When I repent of self-indulged living, God chisels me into someone He can bless.

‘In repentance and rest is your salvation.’ Isa. 30:15
