If I Ignore God I’m Actually Choosing Problems

Our 1 Minute Takeaway: 061719

• If I Ignore God I’m Actually Choosing Problems

My notes:

– The best way to escape a problem is to solve it (Church)

– Problems are a temporary test of your resolve and faith in God.

– We choose to wallow in our circumstances or develop our character. (First 15)

‘… the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect…’ James 1:2-4

– We are to live in response to God’s love not trying to earn it

– What is our faith if it doesn’t produce action?

– What is my relationship with God if it doesn’t cause me to live differently? (First 15)

– Jesus calls us friends, his honor is at stake in my actions

– If I’d run to God for companionship & love rather than only for help with difficulties, many of the difficulties wouldn’t arise.

(O. Chambers)

– Seek God early before he is crowded out

My takeaway:

• Life is smoother if I choose friendship with God before the problems arise.
